Privacy Policy
Not a Medical Device
Registered Mom: Baby Tracker is a personal health and wellness tracking tool for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations, and is not a substitute for professional medical care. All information entered or displayed in the App is for personal tracking and reference only. Always consult your doctor, pediatrician, or a qualified healthcare professional for any health concerns about you or your child.
1. Overview and Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Registered Mom ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Registered Mom: Baby Tracker (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store for iPhone. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
This policy applies to all users of the App regardless of location. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Tracking Data You Enter
The core function of Registered Mom is to let you record and review your baby's daily health activity. The App collects the following categories of data solely as entered by you:
- Feeding logs — breastfeeding sessions (side, duration), bottle feeding sessions (volume, type), and formula preparation notes
- Sleep logs — nap and overnight sleep sessions (start time, end time, duration)
- Diaper logs — diaper changes (type: wet, dirty, or mixed; time and date)
- Pumping logs — pumping sessions (duration, volume per side)
- Milestone records — developmental milestones you choose to record (e.g., first smile, first words)
- Daily scorecard data — summary health snapshots derived from the above logs
This tracking data is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Apple may sync this data across your devices via iCloud as part of standard iOS behavior. We do not operate independent servers that store your tracking data.
2b. Information We Do Not Collect
Registered Mom is designed to require as little personal information as possible:
- The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or any personal identifying information to use its core features.
- We do not collect or transmit your tracking data to our own servers.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or health tracking data with third-party advertisers or marketing services.
- We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or for any commercial profiling purpose.
2c. Automatically Collected Technical Data
Apple automatically collects certain technical and diagnostic data when you use an App Store application. This may include:
- Crash logs and error reports (used to identify and fix bugs)
- Basic app usage metrics (e.g., launch frequency, feature engagement) collected by Apple Analytics if you have opted into sending diagnostic data to Apple on your device
- Device type, iOS version, and App Store country/region
This data is collected by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy and its App Store analytics framework. We may review aggregated, anonymized reports through Apple's developer tools (App Store Connect) to understand how the App is being used and to improve it. We do not receive data that identifies individual users through these mechanisms.
3. How We Use Your Information
The tracking data you enter is used exclusively to provide App functionality:
- Displaying your logs, trends, and daily scorecard within the App
- Calculating durations, totals, and patterns across sessions
- Generating your daily health snapshot summary
Technical and diagnostic data collected by Apple is used to:
- Identify, diagnose, and fix crashes and technical issues
- Understand aggregate feature usage to guide App improvements
- Ensure compatibility with new iOS versions and devices
We will never use any data from the App for advertising, user profiling, or any purpose beyond improving the App's functionality and reliability.
4. Third-Party Services
Registered Mom: Baby Tracker relies only on Apple's platform services. No third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or data brokers are integrated into the App.
Apple
As an iOS application distributed through the Apple App Store, the App operates within Apple's ecosystem, which includes:
- Apple App Store — handles purchase, download, and update delivery. Apple collects information related to your App Store account per their own policies.
- iCloud — if iCloud is enabled on your device, iOS may sync app data as part of iCloud Backup or iCloud Drive. You can control this in your device's iCloud settings. iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Apple Diagnostics and Analytics — crash reports and usage statistics described in Section 2c above, subject to the privacy settings on your iOS device.
You can review and manage Apple's data practices at apple.com/legal/privacy.
5. Health Data and Sensitive Information
The tracking data you enter in Registered Mom relates to the health and wellness activity of your infant. We treat this data with the utmost care:
- All tracking data remains on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud account). It is never transmitted to our servers.
- We do not integrate with Apple HealthKit, and your Registered Mom data is not shared with or imported into Apple Health unless you explicitly initiate such a transfer using iOS system tools.
- We do not share health-related tracking data with any third party for any purpose.
6. Children's Privacy
Registered Mom: Baby Tracker is intended for use by parents, guardians, and caregivers who are 18 years of age or older. The App tracks health information about infants and children, but it is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Because tracking data is entered by the parent or caregiver and stored locally on their device, the App does not constitute a service directed at children under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or similar statutes. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at mom@registeredmom.com and we will take prompt steps to address the concern.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your tracking data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard on-device storage mechanisms. We do not operate or maintain servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that stores your personal health tracking data.
You are responsible for securing access to your device. We recommend:
- Using a device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID
- Keeping your iOS software up to date
- Reviewing your iCloud backup settings if you use iCloud
If your device is lost or stolen, data stored in the App may be accessible to whoever has access to the device. You can remotely wipe your device using Apple's Find My service to protect your data.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not collect or store your tracking data on our servers, we have no data to delete on your behalf. Your data exists on your device (and in iCloud if enabled) for as long as you choose to keep it.
To delete your data:
- Delete individual records — use the delete functionality within the App.
- Delete all App data — uninstall the App from your iPhone. iOS will remove all locally stored App data upon uninstallation.
- Remove iCloud backups — if you use iCloud Backup, manage your backup data in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage on your device.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. Because we do not maintain a central database of your personal information, most of these rights are exercised directly through your iOS device settings and Apple's tools.
- Right to access — all data you have entered is accessible directly within the App.
- Right to correction — you can edit or delete any record within the App at any time.
- Right to deletion — delete individual records in-App or delete all data by uninstalling the App.
- Right to opt out of analytics — on your iPhone, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements to control whether diagnostic data is shared with developers and Apple.
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because we do not sell personal information and do not collect personal identifying information from users, most CCPA sale opt-out rights do not apply. For any questions, contact us at mom@registeredmom.com.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or App Store release notes.
Your continued use of the App after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
